Thermite welding is the most technologically simple and highly reliable way to attach cathode and drainage terminals to the pipeline wall. The essence of thermite welding is the use of thermal energy of a thermochemical redox reaction, during which the reduced and heated to a high temperature metal melts with the surface of the pipe and with the outlet, forming an integral joint.
The crucible is a disposable RTF form designed for welding steel terminals of the ECZ to steel main gas pipelines under operational pressure, without stopping gas transport.
