Spark gap 50-500 H-SHIK

Product Overview

A spark gap is an electrical device whose spark gap breaks through at a certain value of the applied voltage, thereby limiting the overvoltage in the installation. The main element of the spark gap is the spark gap. The volt-second characteristic of this interval lies below the volt-second characteristic of the protected equipment. When an overvoltage occurs, the gap breaks through earlier than the insulation of the protected equipment.

Selection Notes

Technical Review Points

  • Confirm nominal diameter, pressure class, medium and flange or welded connection requirements.
  • Review electrical isolation, coating and sealing requirements.
  • Test continuity and isolation after installation as part of commissioning.
